The Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum is making its way through the state and is coming to Marana on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, from 1 PM – 5 PM AND March 5th, 2026 from 11 PM – 3 PM in the parking lot of the Marana Visitor Center. Housed in a custom-retrofitted trailer, the Arizona Traveling Museum is designed to generate enthusiasm and civic pride in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, bringing history and storytelling, and civic reflection directly to Marana.
The centerpiece of the traveling museum is a replica of the Liberty Bell, one of a limited number located across the country. The bell, which typically resides at the Arizona State Capitol, will travel aboard the museum as a powerful symbol of freedom, independence, and civic responsibility.
The Arizona Traveling Museum blends national history with Arizona’s unique story through immersive panels, a short, looping video experience, and interactive activations for all ages. Visitors are invited to participate by sharing their own stories through the “Dear America, Love Arizona” postcard activity.
The Marana Chamber of Commerce and Discover Marana invite you to see our history up close and continue your journey with a tour inside the Marana Visitor Center. There will also be other community groups and non-profit organizations present.
