Road salt harms our creeks, streams, and even our groundwater. Join our “salt snapshot” initiative to collect as many stream water samples as we can on one day! Bring in samples from your favorite creeks and streams; they will contribute to an interactive map of salt pollution.
-- Collect about two cups of water in a clean container for each sample.
-- Note your sampling location as precisely as possible by dropping a pin in a mapping app on your phone.
-- Bring your samples to Borough of West Chester - Borough Hall between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Light refreshments and friendly banter will be provided!
