About this Event
We all know a Driver’s Licence is an important asset to gain employment in regional and rural areas. This workshop is designed for community members who provide driver's licence learner training and will focus on updated resources developed to accommodate different learner styles to help learners retain the information. This is a resources update on the Statewide Training sessions delivered since April 2017.
Kim Smith APM (Rotary Club of Sullivans Cove) will present the training on the usage of the recently redesigned visual and tactile Road Map packs. Kim Smith APM is a retired Police Officer and the recipient of the 2022 Tasmanian Local Hero Award, as part of the Australian of the Year National Awards. He is a registered Learner’s Licence Accredited Program Instructor.

Accessibility:
• The multi-level car park (corner of Best Street and Fenton Way) provides disabled access parking, lift access and flat walking surfaces between the car park and the paranaple centre. Council parking fees apply.
• Entrance to the paranaple centre is via automatic doors at both Market Square and Rooke Street entrances. The Market Square entrance offers universal access and is available at the touch of a button, providing ease for patrons with access difficulties.
• Inside the paranaple centre, Devonport Library is located on both ground and first floors. Escalators, lifts and stairs are available to take you between the two floors. A parent and child room is situated on the ground floor and accessible toilets are available on all floors.
