About this Event
The Data and Research Consortium (DRC) is a collaborative network of academics, researchers, and data scientists that exists to empower the implementation of the California Racial Justice Act (RJA) by increasing access to data and fostering rigorous scientific study of racial disparities in the criminal legal system.
The DRC is uniquely positioned with the right skill sets to address knowledge gaps, and to do the translational work for legal practitioners to be able to implement the RJA with rigor.
This networking event aims to introduce the mission and aims of the RJA DRC to ASC conference participants, and expand the network of academics and researchers contributing to the DRC’s mission.
The DRC is hosted by the Center for Policing Equity (CPE). We are a nonprofit organization that uses science to empower historically marginalized communities to redesign their public safety systems. Visit our website: policingequity.org.
