Topics covered in this course
Understanding Risk : After looking at the general ideas about risk and hazard management, we’ll take a closer look at different kinds of danger. After that, we’ll examine the vital components of a proper risk context. Later on, we’ll revisit the topic of danger assessment – we’ll be reviewing COSO ERM block and ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard – two important reference points when looking at risks within your organisation.
Risk Management Activities : This session will lay the basic framework for the rest of our day. We will cover basic risk management, such as defining Risks and Threats, and how Responses enable you to Remain resilient in your world.
Assessing Risk : We will take participants through the steps of creating an effective risk assessment plan and then practise what was learned on a hands-on case study.
Responding to Risks : Danger can arrive in all sorts of ways, but via the application of the appropriate response it need not by definition become overwhelming. In this session, participants will soon become adept in harnessing the powers of the four T’s: tolerate, treat, transfer and terminate – thereby optimising safety and minimising risk!
Resourcing Controls : Participants will dive deeper into risk management strategies to discover effective control measures.
Reaction Planning : They’ll also be learning the most effective ways of creating a disaster plan during the session, with its extensive checklist. At the end of it, they’ll have a plan in place to handle future risks and uncertainties.
Reporting and Monitoring : In this seminar, we’ll look at how to establish a reporting structure that operates most efficiently and discuss the prior conditions of optimal success.
Reviewing And Assessing the Framework : At our last session, each person will get a ‘risk management system checklist’ that will provide them with a road map showing if they have put in all the necessary ‘stops’.
Course Wrap-Up : Participants will receive an invitation to take part in an interactive Q&A when they have completed the programme and will develop a detailed action plan.
