It was mid October 2025, when a disturbance began developing out of the Atlantic Ocean and grew a huge hurricane they called Melissa, which grew as it entered the Caribbean Sea and swept through several countries, increasing in power until it reaches Jamaica, as a force 5 disaster wreaking havoc, across the country, leaving a trail of destruction from throughout the country. While some time has past, the rebuilding continues and the support is still desperately needed, so on Saturday 4th April, we will come together to make some noise, spread awareness and raise some funds to support the relief effort.
The funds raised, will go towards helping 3 countries impacted the most by the Hurricane, Jamica, Cuba and Haiti. From the funds raised, 50% will go to Feed The Poor Jamica, through the Leeds Jamican Society, 30% will go to Haiti through and the final 20% to the Cubian Soladarity Campaign.
On the night, there will be information displayed on exactly what eqch of these charities will do with the money. There will also be some stalls selling merchandise, food and a soundsystem clash, as some of Leeds rising stars will take on some legends of Leeds, powered by Cornerstone Hi-Fi and Quad 1 Soundsystem.
