About this Event
OPEN MIC IS NOW IN SEASON
In commemoration of Black History Month, R.I.S.E proudly presents
Theme: UNFINISHED SENTENCES 🖤❤️💚
History books tried to erase us.
Skipped our stories.
Left our voices half told.
This night is about finishing what was cut short.
Unfinished Sentences is an open mic experience centering Black voices and prioritizing Black performers to take the stage. It is a space for poetry, spoken word, music, storytelling, and expression that speaks to what has been left unsaid.
Everyone is welcome to attend, listen, and hold space as we amplify voices, stories, and truths that deserve to be heard.
