About this Event
Join Us for Rights, Choices, & Connections Symposium with GGRC and Le Tusa!
What is a Symposium? This is a day of speakers & presentations, resource fair, lunch, community discussions, social mixer, and more! Like a conference, vendor fair, community gathering!
This FREE event is for people with disabilities who use Regional Center services and their support networks like families, caregivers, staff, and service providers! This is specifically for folks in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. The aim for this event is to share information about services, choices, rights, and advocacy!
Plan for the Day:
This full-day symposium event kicks off welcoming attendees through an opening gathering led by a local self-advocate and a keynote speaker.
Throughout the day, participants choose from rotating breakout sessions featuring panels, practice sessions, community discussions, and alternate activity stations — giving everyone the freedom to engage in the way that works best for them.
A midday lunch break offers both a quiet film screening and a social mingling area, honoring different comfort levels and needs.
The day wraps up with a group closing session, time to explore resources and enter the raffle, and a festive social mixer complete with music and refreshments.
* PLEASE register in order to receive Lunch during the event. Those who have registered will receive a lunch ticket at check-in. We cannot guarentee a lunch meal for those who have not registered. Thank you for helping us plan in advance!
