About this Event
As the new school year gets underway, on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 10 am the Ridgefield History Club will discuss Ridgefield's district schools, the mostly one-room centers of learning that educated Ridgefield children from the 18th through the first part of the 20th Century. Historian Jack Sanders will lead the discussion and show how many of the old schoolhouses have been repurposed; two are now under the care of the Ridgefield Historical Society.
The History Club is a Ridgefield Historical Society program and admission is free; the programs are broadcast live on the Society’s Facebook page. Because space is limited at the Scott House, advance registration is requested here. For more information or to register, please visit ridgefieldhistoricalsociety.org or call 203-438-5821.
