Important Notes:
(from the Web) Expect significant delays at the Grand Canyon South Entrance (Tusayan) around 1 p.m. on April 4th, with potential wait times of 45 minutes to over two hours. Midday (9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.) is the busiest time during spring break. To avoid long lines, plan to arrive before 9:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m..
- Chapter Meeting: This will be held during our lunch stop. Note: This is an Indian Sponsored ride (not lunch)
- Park Entry: The Grand Canyon entrance is CARD ONLY ($30 per motorcycle). Entry is free for Veterans with valid ID or America the Beautiful pass holders.
- Weather: Expect seasonal highs in the mid-60s and lows in the 30s. Please check the forecast the day before and dress accordingly.
Itinerary:
0800 Pass through Wickenburg - 53 min (40.2 mi)
0920 Stop 1: Circle K, 1245 E Gurley St, Prescott, AZ - 1 hr 20 min (60.1 mi) (NO MORE THAN 30-minute break).
1045 Stop 2: Maverik, 1022 N Grand Canyon Blvd, Williams, AZ. 1 hr 15 min (68.0 mi)
Lunch (approx. 11:00 AM): Rulu's 66 Bar 514 E Rte 66, Williams, AZ 86046
1300 Stop 3: South Entrance Station. (EXPECT GATE WAIT UP TO 2 Hrs)
1400 Stop 4 (Final Destination): Pipe Creek Vista. (Optional extensions to Duck on a Rock or Navajo Point). 1 hr 2 min (58.9 mi)
The ride distance is 248 miles and takes 5 hr & 20 min without stops. The day should end around 2-3pm - plenty of time to ride back
Overnight Stay:
If you plan to stay overnight, we recommend booking now. Options include staying near the Canyon ($250+), returning to Williams (~$100), or staying in Flagstaff ($150–$200) for more evening activities. Flag is a 1 hr 25 min (85 mi) return trip
