As the nights grow longer and the air turns crisp, we gather in community to honor the shift into darkness. This October, join us for a powerful evening of conscious movement, where we explore the wisdom that lives in the shadows and the beauty of slowing down with the season.
Guided by guest facilitator 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐰𝐧, a Métis Cree artist, DJ, and founder of Inner Journeys Dance. We will step into an embodied journey of rhythm, breath, and presence. Together, we will embrace the mystery of the dark, moving with intention to uncover new layers of expression and connection.
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐰𝐧:
Kylee Dawn is a mother and a multi-faceted entrepreneur: she is a Métis Cree artist, photographer, DJ, Inner Journeys Dance founder, breathwork facilitator, ceremonialist, event producer and studio owner living in Mohkinstis - Calgary, AB. Growing up on Treaty 7 territory, Kylee Dawn has an affinity toward prairie forests, the peaceful coulees, and wide open skies. Her life's work is to build community and create safe spaces for individuals to explore their uniqueness. Naturally, the intention to sense and experience the full expression of who we are is consciously woven into all of her offerings. With twenty years of experience, she brings a unique flavor to her sessions.

- Wear movement-friendly clothing, preferably in layers
- Wheelchair-accessible space
- The space is drug-free, substance-free, scent-free, and judgment-free, and all participants are expected to respect themselves and one another
- Please share the space respectfully and check in before hugging or touching another dancer (consent practices keep spaces safe)
- The dance floor is a nonverbal space, If you need to have a conversation, however brief, please step outside
- Bring your openness and curiosity
- No street shoes on the dance floor
- Please do not attend if you feel unwell or have any flu-related symptoms.
- Please turn off your cell phone and put it away for the duration of the event

Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
