Rick Braun, with 30 #1 Billboard hits, is an award-winning trumpeter, composer, and producer with a career that has made him one of contemporary jazz’s most celebrated and popular artists. He began his career in the ‘80s as a singer and songwriter, writing REO Speedwagon’s top 20 hit “Here with Me” and the theme for NBC’s Midnight Caller. He later returned to the trumpet, touring and recording with Rod Stewart, Sade, Tina Turner, Tom Petty, Natalie Cole, Glenn Frey and War, and with the combo groups BWB (Braun, Kirk Whalum and Norman Brown) and RnR (Braun and Richard Elliot). As a solo artist, Braun has released acclaimed albums including Beat Street, Kisses in the Rain, All It Takes, and Can You Feel It. Influenced by legends Miles Davis, Herb Alpert, Freddie Hubbard and Chuck Mangione, Braun’s music combines soul, melody, and sophistication.Randy Jacobs, world renowned guitarist and leader of the Boneshakers, the band that blends funk, rock and blues with vocalist Jenny Langer, cowrote the 1987 hit “Walk the Dinosaur” while a member of Was (Not Was) with Don Was. He has toured and recorded with numerous artists including Bonnie Raitt, BB King, Seal, Kris Kristofferson, Tears for Fears, Paula Abdul, Euge Groove, Warren Hill, Mindi Abair, and Rick Braun, and he is the current Music Director for Dave Koz including the Dave Koz Christmas tour, Dave Koz Summer Horns, and Dave Koz Cruises.
