About this Event

Few things are more enticing to paint than still-water lakes or winding country streams. Yet, no other feature in nature changes shape, color, or moods quite like water. It often creates confusing visual effects that trip-up the most skilled painters, like reflecting clouds from above while seeing the lake bottom below at the same time or mirror an upside-down landscape. In this two day workshop, Richard Jordan, Director of the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan, will share his approach to painting convincing water. He will paint classroom and lakeside demonstrations and give plenty of one on one instruction as well as group wide critiques. All skill levels and media welcome.
