Although he has many years of experience as a live performer, Richard re-launched his music career in late 2024 and since then has played over 30 shows in intimate venues, nearly all as headliner. Richard is distinct from many other artists in this genre due to his virtuoso acoustic playing and his powerful vocal delivery. His edgy, melodic alt-folk, Americana tinged songs led R2 magazine to say he brings to mind Elvis Costello.
