About this Event
Ring in the official start of summer and discover the joy of growing unusual summer edibles in our hands-on container gardening workshop, led by local horticulturist and Foodscape expert Brie Arthur! In this interactive session, you'll learn how to cultivate unique crops like ginger, turmeric, and rice, as well as creative combinations using traditional vegetables, vibrant foliage plants, and beautiful flowers. Brie will guide you through choosing the right containers, soil, and care techniques to grow these fascinating plants in small spaces.
All participants will take home a container to start their own edible garden. Whether you're looking to add a touch of exotic flavor to your garden or expand your edible landscape, this workshop will provide the knowledge and confidence to grow a truly diverse and productive container garden.
Will you join us for this special hands-on workshop, Saturday, May 23rd, from 11:00 to 1:00? The cost of this make-and-take workshop is $40.00. We will provide all materials necessary to complete your very own container! Registration is open now and closes on May 9th.
