Rice BagOne day workshop with Jo Paloma.
The class will start with making an easy patchwork. Don’t worry if you’re not a patchworker….as long as you can sew straight lines you’ll be fine!
This will then be used to make a rice bag. These bags were traditionally used to carry offerings of rice to the temple but now make wonderful project or gift bags.
You will need two UK/European cut Fat Quarters (American cut are shorter so more fabric would be needed for the lining), a similar amount of wadding (Vliesiline H640 recommended), 60” of cord or ribbon, an A2 cutting mat, 24” ruler, rotary cutter, standard sewing kit, sewing machine and thread.
£65 include hot drinks throughout the day, biscuits & cake. Please bring a packed lunch! To book click ‘Going’ and PM Ditzy Rose or email [email protected] Full Payment by the month before.
