You’re Invited to the Big Dry Creek Streambank Restoration Ribbon Cutting on May 14
Come celebrate the completion of the Big Dry Creek Streambank Restoration construction at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 14! Trails are now fully open along Big Dry Creek at City Park. Join community members, City staff, and elected officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of several multi-year Big Dry Creek projects. New amenities include:
- A new and upgraded sanitary pipe system.
- Restoration of City Park Pond as a reclaimed water storage facility.
- A wetland boardwalk.
- Educational pavilion.
- Picnic tables and benches.
- A pollinator plant corridor.
- Significant streambank restoration that will make Big Dry Creek accessible for the community.
The event kicks off at 5 pm at the new Big Dry Creek Pavilion. After the ribbon cutting, attendees will be able to explore the new and improved Big Dry Creek with neighbors and friends. Food and refreshments will be provided free of charge, courtesy of Big Fork and The Snowy Churro food trucks.
Event parking will be in the parking lot north of the City Park soccer fields.
