Rhythms of Grace Conference

Running a toddler group can be one of the most exhausting yet rewarding activities in our week. Trying to recruit a team of volunteers whilst planning crafts and ensuring health and safety issues are dealt with, can be so challenging. This conference gives you the opportunity to spend some time relaxing and having fun with others who share the same passion for toddler groups. It is a day to listen to inspirational speakers whilst giving plenty of space to network, browse exhibitions and make new friends.

Our day is based on John 10 v1-10 Jesus the Good Shepherd

The conference will provide an opportunity to:-

· Be encouraged and envisioned regarding the work of parent and toddler groups

· Hear our key note speaker – Bishop Lynne Cullens, Bishop of Barking

· Participate in workshops

· Network with colleagues

· Enjoy our exhibition

You can choose 2 from the following workshops:

1) Help – I want to run a pop up toddler group! Where do I start?

Sometimes we see an area that we feel needs a toddler group eg housing estate, community event etc. but we don’t have a building. Come and hear how you can run a pop up group, recruit volunteers, connect with other groups in the area etc.

2) Musical groups?

Come and learn ways in which the music in your groups can be developed. An opportunity to learn new songs and be engaged in making music.

3) Craft workshop (repeated)

Practical session

4) Safeguarding

Using an everyday scenario, safeguarding in the context of our toddler groups will be explored. Opportunity for discussion and input

5) Styles of story telling

Explore ways in which stories can be told in our sessions …

Each of these workshops is led by a toddler group leader with experience in the given area. It is a forum to bring and share ideas and please feel free to bring any resources you use or have found helpful. We are aware there is a wealth of experience and knowledge in our toddler groups across London and we would love to enable people to share this.
