About the Artists: Nilimesh Chakraborty, a talented tabla player from the Farrukabad Gharana, began his musical training at the age of 2 and has since achieved numerous accolades, including top positions in prestigious competitions like the Doverlane Music Competition. He has performed extensively across India and abroad, promoting Indian classical music in countries such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. Alongside his solo career, Nilimesh has accompanied renowned maestros like Padmashree Ustad Rashid Khan and Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, and is an empaneled accompanist for SPICMACAY and the ICCR. Monit Paul is a gifted sarod player from the Senia Bangas Gharana, who began his musical journey at the age of 6 under the guidance of Pt. Kalyan Mukherjee. A CCRT junior scholarship recipient by the age of 10, Monit has performed widely across India and internationally, including notable performances in Poland and China. He continues to refine his skills under Pt. Debojyoti Bose, mastering intricate techniques of the gharana. Along with solo recitals, he has contributed to contemporary music and live theatre, showcasing his versatility as a musician.
