About this Event
With funding from the National Lottery Community Fund we're excited to be launching the Rhythm Hub project, bringing Exeter and Okehampton communities together through rhythm, dance and song.
Rhythm Hub will provide opportunities for people of all ages/ethnicities/genders/beliefs to take part in group drumming, dancing, singing and community-building games in a relaxing and accessible way that will build friendships and strengthen creativity, coordination, confidence and all-round wellbeing.
Join us for our ongoing Rhythm Hub drum & dance course in Exeter to learn rhythms, dances and songs from West Africa, develop your dance and rhythm skills, and make new friendships in a positive and uplifting environment.
We'll meet on Wednesday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm on the following dates:
2nd October
16th October
6th November
20th November
4th December
This course will continue through 2025 and build towards a celebratory community performance evening in Summer/Autumn 2025 where all the Rhythm Hub groups will have the opportunity to come together with local musicians and members of the wider community, to share and celebrate what we’ve created together during the project.
