Louie Cruz Beltran will bring his “Rhythm and Roots” music program to the Wilson Library. This event is a fun, interactive, and an all-inclusive exploration of the origins and evolution of Afro-Cuban rhythms from Africa and into today’s musical styles.Louie blends Afro Cuban rhythms with jazz, Latin jazz, pop, and R&B influences. He will bring an interesting variety of percussion instruments, which he will display and discuss.
