Join the Manchester branch of the British Cactus & Succulent Society at RHS Bridgewater this August as we celebrate the captivating world of cacti and succulents. Building on the success of our events in 2022 and 2023, we’re back this year with another exciting lineup. Here’s what we have in store so far:• Cactus and Succulent Displays
• Plant Sales
A host of well-known nurseries and growers from across the UK provide the chance to buy rare and unusual plants seldom found in garden centres. Sellers attending so far include: Woodside Nursery, Ian’s Haworthias, Plantlife Cactus Nursery, John Henshaw, DJA Plants, Stuart Riley, Ralph Martin, John Carr, Tony Clark, ABC&S, Tracey Marshall, Catherin Hoole, Anthony Clarke…with more to be announced.
• Fascinating Talks
Delve into the secret lives of these tough desert dwellers with fascinating talks.
• Kids’ Corner
This is a family event, so we’ve got pot painting and cactus fact-finding activities to keep little green fingers entertained.
• Cultural Advice & BCSS Membership
Got questions? Our team of experienced growers will be on hand to offer free advice on all aspects of cactus and succulent cultivation, but if you decide you want to find out more, why not join the British Cactus and Succulent Society? We can sign you up on the day.

About the venue
RHS Bridgewater is the Royal Horticultural Society’s fifth public display garden. Located in Worsley, Greater Manchester, its 154-acre site includes themed borders, woodland areas, meadows, lakes, a wooded children's play area and the largest Victorian walled garden in England, making it a delightful day out for families and gardening enthusiasts alike.
