Each year, our state marks the Annual Rhode Island Day of Reason on May 6th. The ceremony will take place in the State House Library at 3pm and will feature some awesome guest speakers.
As a state non-profit organization promoting religious freedom and separation of church & state, Rhode Island Atheists encourages all Rhode Islanders to mark this day by reflecting on the principles of reason; cultivating intelligent, moral and ethical interactions among people; promoting the development & application of reason; ensuring that freedom of religion is guaranteed for all citizens of Rhode Island; recognizing that our state was founded on the critical principle of separation of church & state.
