Do you know a high school teen, ages 15 to 18, interested in birds and birding?
The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is inviting teens interested in improving their birding skills to apply for the RGVBF Field Trip Scholarship. If selected, you will be awarded a free registration and a trip of your choice (from a selection of available tours) on either Saturday, November 9th or Sunday, November 10th. Awardees will also receive a free registration for a parent or guardian and have an option to have a parent or guardian accompany them on the field trip.
To participate, you must have transportation to and from the RGV Birding Festival at the Harlingen Convention Center at 701 Harlingen Heights Dr., Harlingen TX. You must be available early morning through at least the afternoon (many trips leave at 6 am). To apply, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/5gqqZ9ivBrsYkY9z7 by Monday, November 4th. Winners will be notified by Thursday, November 7th.
The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is one of the biggest birding festivals in the country, bringing in birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts from across the country. The festival features a variety of activities, including guided field trips to prime birding locations, educational seminars, a trade show, a silent auction, social events, and fun activities for kids.
