This special Luncheon, whose costs (apart from alcohol) are funded for the RGME, is designed for selected participants of the 2024 Spring Symposium at Vassar College (speakers, consultants, attendees active in the RGME) to gather and engage in planning for the Symposium and its follow-up in the Autumn Symposium (online on 26 October). This integrated pair of events form the centerpieces of our Project for the RGME Anniversary Year, centered upon these Symposia and the publications both for and from them. With our Year's theme of "Bridges" and the overarching title "Between Past and Future", they are dedicated to "Building Bridges" and standing "At the Helm" with regard to Special Collections, original sources (medieval and more), engaging with them, and teaching for the Liberal Arts.
This luncheon affords the opportunity to enter the Symposium with insights for its combined on-site and online accomplishment, to keep eyes on prospects and opportunities arising during it, and building a plan for the follow-up Symposium as well as related events through the rest of the RGME Anniversary Year and, if wished, beyond. Already some activities through the year interrelate with these Symposia and build upon and from them. Advice and suggestions are invited in this Luncheon gathering.
