About this Event
In this guided session Oxygen Advantage coach Amber Rose-Knight and Rope Flow and Vivobarefoot coach George Knight, founders of Beyond Demestication, will help you reconnect to nature through movement and breath. From functional breathwork to ropeflow and barefoot movement, you'll feel truely recharged.
No experience needed and all equipment is provided.

Who Should Attend?
This is for you if you:
- Wear (or are curious about) barefoot shoes and want to improve mobility and foot strength
- Want to spend time in nature in a more present, connected way
- Would like to learn more about functional breathwork
Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Practise three basic rope flow patterns (foundational patterns: overhand, underhand and dragon roll)
- Explain what functional breathwork is and why it matters in everyday life
- Use a few simple breathing techniques to support calm, focus, and wellbeing
- Use a barefoot walking technique, plus warm-up drills to prepare feet and ankles
What Will It Cover?
A guided morning blending three complementary practices:
- Rope Flow: movement with a rope to build rhythm, mobility, and body awareness, with a focus on learning the key foundational patterns
- Functional Breathwork (Oxygen Advantage): simple, structured breathing practices that support healthier breathing patterns and help you feel more grounded and resilient
- Barefoot Walking: warm-up drills and a guided barefoot walking experience focused on grounding and connection with the natural world

What to bring/wear
This event will take place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! Please wear suitable footwear (even if taken off at some points)and lots of layers. Sun protection is also recommended.
You may bring a blanket or something to sit on during floor activities. Flow ropes will be provided but if you woud like to bring your own please do.
Toilets and catering
There are no toilet or catering facilities on this reserve. There are toilets and a café in the neighbouring Golden Acre Park.
You may wish to bring snacks and drinks with you but please take your litter home.
Accessibility
This session will involve doing some physical movement during the rope flow and barefoot walking sessions.
Please let us know at checkout if you have any access requirements that you would like to make us aware of and/or require any additional support to fully participate in this event. We aim to accomodate wherever possible.

Parking
Use the main Golden Acre car park on Otley Road. It is a short, flat walk to the reserve. Please note, parking charges apply.
Joining us on the day
Meet Amber Rose-Knight and George Knight at 10:45am by the Golden Acre Park cafe area, from there they will take you into the reserve ready to start the session at 11:00am.
