The Friends of the Lexington County Museum are pleased to announce the first Summer Speaker Series. In June, July, and August, the Friends will have three historians speak about different topics related to the American Revolution. On June 25, Lexington County Museum director J.R. Fennell will give a presentation on Lexington County in the American Revolution. On July 23, Dr. Sean Gallagher, a professory of history at the University of SC, will deliver a lecture based on his research. On August 27, Josh Shumak will present on Native Americans in the American Revolution in SC.
These events, which will take place at the Lexington Municipal Complex, will begin at 6:30 pm with wine and cheese available. The lectures will begin at 7:00 pm.
