for girls* and women of color, by girls* and women of color
We are hosting our fourth annual Revolutionary Community Care Day (formerly known as Revolutionary Self Care Day), on Sat, Feb 27th from 11a-4p. Every year, we throw a day for and by girls* and women of color. While we're not able to offer the same types of services as years past bc of the pandemic, we are excited to open up our Self Care Station for our community to grab as many pieces of clothing, hygiene products, hair care items, make up, and more.
*All offerings will be first come, first serve with young folks of color as priority.*

ACCESSIBILITY + COVID PROTOCOLS
- Please do not attend if you have symptoms of COVID, have tested positive in the last month, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive in the last month.- Masks are required to attend! We can provide masks if you need them.- We will ask folks to sanitize on arrival and in between certain stations.- Some stations will require wearing gloves.
- The event will be outside. We're hoping to have canopies, outdoor heaters, and warm drinks, but prepare accordingly!
- ADA-accessible, but will have some grassy areas
*a girl is anyone who identifies as one!

? COMFORT KITS ?
Powerful Voices will be passing out Comfort Kits to young folks, which will have a variety of self care items for art making, skincare, relaxation, and more!
If you would like to donate Comfort Kit items like art supplies, books, fidget toys, or anything else that may be considered self care supplies, hit up Gillian at [email protected].
☕ HOT DRINKS, HOT FOOD, + GROCERIES ?
Come through for a hot meal and a bag of groceries generously donated by local community organizations. There will also be hot drinks to keep you warm in line!

? SELF CARE STATION ?
Young folks and families are welcome to "shop" (bring your own bags!) through our Self Care Station of free hygiene products, make up, clothing, shoes, accessories, and more.
If you would like to donate clothing or personal items for our self care station, we would love donations of hair care products (esp. for black hair!), winter clothing, menstruation products, and hygiene products. Please contact Uyen at [email protected] if you would like to donate!
