REVIVAL10: Retrospective - Queensbridge Park

This year, REVIVAL 9 brings the personal and collective histories of New York City’s older residents to life through dance. Neighborhood Stories explores the memories, traditions, and cultural shifts that shape the communities where DVP’s programs take place.

Through our Movement Speaks® workshops, we collaborate with longtime residents to transform their lived experiences into movement and sound, creating performances that honor their voices and their neighborhoods.

New York City is ever-changing—shaped by immigration, gentrification, and the passage of time. Yet, within these transformations, older community members hold the stories of what once were. REVIVAL 9 captures and preserves these narratives, celebrating them through dance in public spaces.
