About this Event
Downtown Portland is at a crossroads, and art can be the key to creating a vibrant, revitalized city and downtown community. The new Portland Arts & Culture Center will not only offer an alternative theater for arts users while the Keller Auditorium is renovated, but will act as the cornerstone of a new arts district for the city. The project's location on Portland State University's downtown campus will enliven the Halprin Open Space sequence and unlock the potential of the southern edge of Portland's urban core, contributing to a vibrant new zone celebrating the arts, education, and community.
Join us for an exhibition and panel discussion exploring the design of this new Arts Center for Portland and its potential to impact our city--all through a lens of sustainability, community, and livability in downtown Portland.
5:00--Exhibition opens; refreshments and mingling
6:00--Moderated panel discussion between Bora, PSU, and Colas
