About this Event
Though the cuisine changes from state to state, no matter where you go in India, due to thousands of years of influence from Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, no other part of the world has seen so many people eating veggie-friendly diets for so long.
Whether you’re currently following the diet your Indian grandmother advised you to follow or not, join us on March 2, 2024 (doors open at 5:45) as we enjoy delicious vegan Indian food and listen to experts explain why India's cultural and religious emphasis on a plant-based diet has been the best choice for humans after all.

Please bring your own plate and cutlery, to make this event as close to zero waste as possible. If you forget, paper plates and cutlery will be available at a $5 charge (cash only).

- Anubhooti Joshi is a Food Processing Technology Engineer with a Masters in Food Science from UBC.
- Dr. Matthew Nagra, ND, a naturopathic doctor with expertise in plant-based nutrition and an evidence-based approach
- Shriyut Arya has a degree in culinary arts and food science and has been a product developer for several plant-based businesses in Canada.

Where: OAC Lower Hall at 5350 Baillie St., Vancouver, BC (near 37th & Oak)
Parking: Plenty of free parking in the parking lot and on the street in front
Dinner: $15 in advance. $20 CASH at the door (entrance is limited to 100 people)
How to pay: E-transfer Anubhooti at the address listed in the RSVP question when you RSVP.
N.B. If your e-transfer is being sent from an account with a name different from your Meetup name, please indicate your Meetup name in the message on the e-transfer so that she can confirm your payment.
REFUND POLICY: If you need to cancel your reservation, please email Anubhooti before 12 am on February 29th (2 days before the event), and she will e-transfer you a full refund minus a $2 processing fee. No refunds will be issued less than 48 hours before the event, but you are welcome to find someone to take your place.
