Revesby Abbey was founded in 1142 and the first monks to occupy the Abbey were from Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire. The Abbey was dissolved in 1539 due to mismanagement, ruin and decay.�Through time the Abbey passed through many hands and developed into a country house. Craven Howard built a new residential house at the former Abbey although not on top of the monastic remains. The house was eventually sold on in 1711 to Joseph Banks I. During the years 1843 to 1844 all the contents of the house were auctioned off including timber, furniture, paintings and cornices leaving the house in ruins.�The current house was built in 1845 in the Jacobethan style. This house was built on what is believed to be the remaining bricks of Craven Howard's house. Over time the former house has also fell in to disrepair, passing through multiple ownership until 1999.�Join the Haunted Moments Paranormal Events Team as we investigate this magnificent building. Will we meet the spirits of the monks wondering the once majestic Abbey or hear the footsteps of the servants going about their daily, busy life.�On passed investigations we have experienced disembodied voices, the feeling of being watched, doors slamming shut. We use the latest paranormal technology to help us find the evidence and to guide you through your investigation.
