About this Event
Feeling like your metabolism just isn’t what it used to be — no matter how “healthy” you try to be?
This workshop will help you understand why. We’ll reframe metabolism as more than just calorie burn or willpower, and explore how it’s actually a dynamic, adaptive system shaped by nutrition, hormone signaling, blood sugar rhythms, and the state of your nervous system. If you’re constantly tired, craving sugar, or stuck in survival mode, your metabolism might need a different kind of reset.
What You’ll Walk Away With:
- A science-backed understanding of how metabolism actually works
- Insight into how blood sugar, insulin, and cortisol impact your energy, cravings, sleep, and fat storage
- Why chronic stress rewires your metabolism — and how to reverse it
- Tools to improve metabolic flexibility and shift out of survival mode
- A direct, embodied experience of what it feels like to reset through breathwork and cold exposure
What We’ll Do:
Part 1: 30-Min Talk with Beverly Mazza
Explore how metabolism changes in midlife, how stress affects blood sugar and hormone signaling, and what daily shifts actually support metabolic healing.
Part 2: 30-Min Guided Breathwork with Rachel Lee
Learn how to regulate your nervous system using breath. This session will teach you how to downshift out of stress mode, improve oxygen efficiency, and support metabolic balance.
Part 3: Optional Guided Cold Plunge
You’ll have the opportunity to try a cold plunge in a safe, supportive environment—learning how to stay calm and present while giving your nervous system a powerful reset.
What to Bring:
- Yoga mat or towel
- Water bottle
- Comfortable clothing for breathwork
- Swimsuit and towel if participating in the cold plunge
- Warm layers for after
