Rev. Peter Hata will be giving a hybrid in-person/Zoom seminar Saturday, Nov. 22nd on how astronaut and musician Sarah Gillis' violin performance connected the world through music while she was in orbit.Rev. Hata has a long background as a professional musician. He was an original member of the group Hiroshima, and later became an adjunct professor of music at Cal State University Los Angeles. After he retired from his full-time Minister position at Higashi’s Los Angeles Betsuin in 2021, Rev. Hata has also become an active amateur astronomer.
On Nov. 23rd Rev. Hata will also give a Dharma Talk and performance as part of Seattle Betsuin's Autumn Music Service.
