Wells Church will host the Rev. Dr. William Barber of The Poor People’s Campaign to speak in our historic sanctuary as part of his Moral Mondays tour through the southern U.S. His address, “If We Are Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired, What Shall We Do?” will be given at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Wells. This is an open event, and the community is invited. All are very welcome.
Following his lecture, Rev. Dr. Barber invites a time of "Coffee and Conversation" with local clergy to share in holy conversation and fellowship.
Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, is a Professor in the Practice of Public Theology and Public Policy and Founding Director of the Center for Public Theology and Public Policy at Yale Divinity School. He serves as President and Senior Lecturer of Repairers of the Breach and Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call For Moral Revival.
