In our present age of hard-heartedness and difficult headlines, it can be easy to lose hold of awe and wonder. Psalm 5:7 says, "I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house; I will bow down toward your holy temple in awe of you."
What do awe and wonder look like to you? When we open up those words, we make room for a wide range of creative spiritual practices. Maybe you love to dig in the dirt, learn something new, paint a portrait, sing your favorite song, travel to a favorite spot, or make an incredible meal and invite friends over.
All of these practices can be a means by which we take delight in God. As Christine Aroney-Sine says, "awe and wonder, imagination and curiosity connect us to the God who is present in every moment and everything in a way that nothing else can."
