Preview Screening, Return of the Sacred: a documentary exploring Haudenosaunee efforts to reclaim sacred ceremonial masks, wampum belts, and ancestral remains from museums and institutions. Through voices from Indigenous leadership, legal advocacy, museum practice, and cultural interpretation, the project examines responsibility, stewardship, and what it means to bring sacred items home. The film is currently in post-production.
The hour will feature a short, five-minute teaser composed of interview excerpts from the documentary, followed by a moderated panel conversation and audience Q&A.
