Join fellow retired Missouri State faculty and staff for a special behind-the-scenes visit to the William G. and Retha Stone Baker Observatory on April 10 (weather alternate April 24). Guests will explore the facility, which houses two large telescopes and multiple smaller instruments, and learn how the observatory supports both introductory and advanced astronomy work.During the tour, you’ll meet with Assistant Professor Dr. Baran along with students who conduct laboratory work and research at the site. Located on Old Hillcrest Road, about ten miles northwest of Marshfield, Baker Observatory offers a rare and engaging look into the science happening beyond campus.
