The GFOA is excited to invite you and your team to participate in a first-of-its-kind Rethinking Budgeting (RtB) Readiness Workshop!
This regional workshop is an invitation-only educational event for local government organizations in the Denver area.
We will be working through the GFOA’s new Readiness Assessment tool to help you assess your current budgeting processes and identify the right place to start when rethinking budgeting.
Join us for the day and come away with:
- An understanding of the scope and benefits of the RtB recommendations
- An overview of the current state of your budgeting processes
- Specific focus areas and recommended next steps, tailored to your organization
- Supporting resources from the GFOA and partners
- A local network for ongoing collaboration around new budgeting practices
Due to the holistic nature of RtB initiative, we request that you bring leaders from different areas of your organizations to this workshop, including:
- City/county management
- Finance
- Community engagement
- Strategy, performance, and innovation
3-5 attendees from your organization is ideal for this interactive and collaborative day.
This is a GFOA event hosted by the University of Colorado School of Public Affairs, and in collaboration with partners,, and, who have been involved in the creation of the Readiness Assessment tool and Rethinking Budgeting capstone project.
