We begin with Palm Sunday (the Sunday before Easter), then Good Friday service, Saturday baptisms and, of course, RESURRECTION SUNDAY!!
What a great time to have water baptism!! This is a symbolic act of dying to ourselves, giving up our lives to yield to the Spirit of God! As we are emerged in water, symbolically it is a death to our old ways and our old beliefs. Coming up out of the water is a new life and a type of resurrection in Christ. All new believers were encouraged to participate in this act to make known their death of their old life in the New Testament. They acknowledged a second birth of being born again!Some of you may want to rededicate your life to God by this act. Others of you may not have been baptized since you were a baby or not at all. I would encourage you to consider this opportunity and release the old man to encounter a new man in Christ.
