Something powerful is taking shape at the Brighton ReStore, and you’re invited to be part of it!On Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Livingston County Habitat for Humanity will host a high-energy Earth Day Expo at the ReStore (7198 Grand River Ave., Brighton), where everyday actions create lasting change.
This is not a passive event; it is a hands-on opportunity to turn what you no longer need into something meaningful. Every item recycled, every donation made, and every purchase helps fund safe, affordable housing and critical home repairs for neighbors across Livingston County.
Bring items that make an impact:
• Latex Paint: $2/gallon, $10/5-gallon (water-based only, original containers)
• Metals: Copper, aluminum, steel, wire, and more
• Paper: Mail, magazines, office paper, shredded paper (no cardboard)
• Eyeglasses: Repurposed and responsibly processed
• Bottle & Can Drive: Simple returns, meaningful results.
• Batteries: Collecting cars, trucks, lawn, and garden .
Expect food, music, WHMI Radio, vibrant vendor booths, engaging children’s activities, including an Earth Day Coloring Contest, where the winner will receive a $100.00 gift card and ReStore treasures, home goods, appliances, and materials ready for a second life.
This growing community effort is made possible through the leadership and support of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, along with valued partners Beauchamp Water Treatment Solutions, Batteries Plus, the Hartland Lions Club, and more!
