Veterans, military members and their guest are invited to join us for a friendly, no pressure bicycle ride.
About this Event

FOR EVERYONE'S COMFORT AND SAFETY, THIS RIDE WAS CHANGED FROM APRIL 25 TO MAY 23 DUE TO THE ACTIVITIES SURROUNDING THE NFL DRAFT.

THE RIDE

Our bicycle rides are a great way to explore Western Pennsylvania and beyond. Our guid works hard to plan our rides, peppering them with an ounce of fun and a dash of history.

The rides are social in nature and limited to a small group of 15 riders. We take our time and enjoy the camaraderie. Most rides are between 15 and 20 miles. If you don't have a bike, we may be able to help you. Email [email protected] for information.

Join us for a relaxed 13.5-mile ride through downtown Pittsburgh focused on connection, not competition. Whether you're a veteran or riding alongside one, this is about building friendships, sharing stories, and enjoying the journey together. No timers, no pressure. Just good people, fresh air, and meaningful miles.

THIS RIDE ONLY: Join us afterwards for a FREE LUNCH at Big Jim's in the Run.

Meet up details will be emailed the day prior to the ride. DO NOT GO TO THE ADDRESS LISTED HERE.

YOUR GUIDE

Your guide for this excursion is Leo McCarthy. After serving three years in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps at Fort Hood, Leo joined the Moon Township police force as a uniformed patrol officer in 1976. He rose through the ranks serving as a detective and sergeant before being promoted to captain in 1999, and then to chief in 2005. After 41 years of service to Moon Township, he retired on January 1, 2018. Leo is highly educated in the field of law enforcement and graduated from the FBI National Academy, Class 198 in 1999. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys exploring the region's bike trails.
