About this Event
Welcome,
Even if you have heard of Restorative Yoga, many people haven’t had the opportunity to experience its therapeutic healing properties. It is the perfect antidote to our busy, often hectic stressful lives. We certainly don’t think about how charged up our nervous system is year in/year out, or give a single thought to how we make sure it is nourished, balanced and healthy.
Restorative Yoga is a practice that emphasises more about ‘being’ than ‘doing’. It invites our rest, digest, repair nervous system to override our always switched on fight, fight, freeze nervous system during the sessions. This makes it distinctly different from other forms of yoga.
Being at ease, being still and supported by props helps to remind our bodies how to rest and recuperate which is vital to maintain our mind, body, spiritual and energetic wellness.
I lead a gentle and relaxing class that typically only involves 4 or 6 poses where you are supported by props that allow you to deepen into total relaxation, de-stress and promote intuition. The class is often practiced in silence or with light sounds and features guided meditation while in poses.
I invite you to learn how to intentionally deepen your self-care with me to incorporate somatic practices: - grounding, introception/body scanning, gentle breathwork, soothing posture exercises and guided meditation.
Price: Onetime trial class offer: £15, Weekly flexible on demand £25, or blocks of x5 classes: £100 (£20 each).
Restorative Yoga is accessible to all. Beginners welcome!
