Event by Homesoulsomatics and sacredsoundbridge Restorative yoga to gently unwind the body, followed by a sound bath to calm the mind and deepen the relaxation.
The intention of this experience is to offer a safe space for you to enjoy some well deserved "me time". A chance to slow down and unwind at the weekend. The experience will begin with restorative yoga to gently unwind the body before being immersed in soothing vibrations from crystal bowls, koshi chimes, wind gong, swing chime, handpan drum, vocal toning and ocean drum to deepen the relaxation.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Restorative Yoga
The restorative yoga is led by Hannah, an experienced yoga instuctor at homesoulsomatics. Hannah will guide you with a gentle and relaxing style of yoga designed to help the body and mind rest, restore and rejuvenate. This style of yoga uses props including blankets and blocks to help participants fully release into each posture. With the support of these props, the focus is on passive stretching and holding poses for extended periods. The breath is slow and mindful and participants bring their awareness to any thoughts or sensations and let them gently go. Think of it as a truly nurturing yoga class.
Sound Bath
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience where you are immersed in therapeutic sound vibrations using instruments designed to calm the nervous system by letting your body absorb the harmonious frequencies. Participants simply lay on a yoga or padded mat as the sounds guide you into a state of deep rest and renewal. There is nothing you need to do-simply arrive, rest and receive.
A selection of Herbal teas will be provided at the end of the sound bath. This is a good time to reflect on your experience, whether that be journalling, sharing with others or having time to sit alone.
WHAT TO WEAR
Loose comfortable clothing is reccommended.
WHAT TO BRING

Sound baths are generally safe and are suitable for most. They promote deep relaxation which calms the nervous system, lowering cortisol and can induce states similar to deep sleep. It helps to quiet the mind and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety leading to inner peace and a sense of rejuvenation. They may not be suitable for you if you’re pregnant or have sound sensitivities, tinnitus, sound induced epilepsy, or other medical conditions, certain sounds could cause discomfort or trigger symptoms. While they’re usually harmless, please exercise your own judgement or consult your doctor if you have any concerns. If you are unsure whether yoga is suitable for you, please consult a healthcare professional before starting and listen to your body throughout.
