About this Event
Join us for an evening of powerful performance as words and stories come alive on stage. This special event brings together six short plays and spoken word pieces from participants across our storytelling projects, sharing stories of resilience, hope, and change.
Some pieces reflect the lived experiences of survivors of violence, refugees and people seeking international protection, LGBTQIA+ communities, victims of hate crime, and people from across all communities, including those historically divided.
In some cases, professional actors will perform stories on behalf of participants who cannot share them directly, allowing stories to be told while protecting the storyteller.
The festival is about amplifying silenced voices, celebrating creativity, and building connection through the universal power of story. Expect honesty, rawness, and inspiration in a space where art becomes a catalyst for empathy, understanding, and acceptance.
This event is part of Voicing the Void’s - 'Restorative Storytelling Festival: Acts of Survival'. With 22 events over seven days, the festival creates space to take part, listen, and learn – with something to inspire everyone.
Ticket pricing is tiered to keep events accessible, and we invite you to contribute whatever you feel able. If you require a free ticket, please don’t hesitate to email us at
