Rathmore Productions presents the international premiere of a new one woman show based on the life of Northern Irish blues singer Ottilie Patterson and featuring Jolene O’Hara in the titular role. After the success of their collaboration on How to Bury a Dead Mule (UK Theatre Award Best New Play nominee) at the Lyric and Edinburgh Fringe, actor/writer Richard Clements and director Matthew McElhinney (Stones in his Pockets, A Christmas Carol) are back with a new script which takes a uniquely imaginative and poetic look at the life of the forgotten First Lady of Irish Blues.
Ottilie is the story of a young girl from Comber who rises to stand shoulder to shoulder with the very best before disappearing into relative obscurity. An extraordinary career brought to life in this unique staging.
