About this Event
The Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program is proud to announce the return of our Restoration Rambles Program! These easy, guided walking tours highlight local restoration sites and will be offered monthly from November - March on rotating Fridays and Saturdays. Check our calendar at https://www.ppbep.org/get-involved for future program dates.
Join us for a special Restoration Ramble as we learn about The Longleaf Alliance and FWC's efforts to restore vernal pools that are critical breeding grounds for the endangered Reticulated Flatwoods Salamander.
This guided walking tour will be approximately three miles long on primarily flat terrain, including gravel and compacted sand. The walk itself is considered easy due to the flat and wide walking area, but please note the three mile round-trip distance and the two-hour total walking tour time.
All ages are welcome, but the content being discussed on the walking tour is geared for adult learners.
Hats, sunglasses, close-toed shoes, water, sunscreen, and bug spray are recommended.
