Restoration & Representation Summit
In recognition of Reentry Awareness-Second Chance Month, Black Male Initiative will be hosting a Restoration and Representation Summit. This transformative symposium will bring awareness to Pr*son conditions, collateral consequences for returning citizens, and how restorative practices benefit every segment of society. From introducing restorative practices that focus on repairing harm to communities and individuals, to emphasizing a person-first approach to criminal justice, the summit will be filled with knowledgeable personnel ranging from elected officials, criminal justice stakeholders, formerly incarcerated individuals, restorative practitioners and survivors of crime seeking progressive policy shifts to create new and effective approaches to criminal justice in the Peach state.
