An informative workshop session for parents of children aged from 6 to 11 years of age experiencing anxiety.
Join experienced low intensity psychological intervention therapist Christina in a range of sessions designed to help parents and children deal with anxiety.
Suitable for parents/guardians and children aged between 6-11 years of age.
Parents and Children are welcomed to enjoy a series of introductory sessions on practical self-help tools to aid both children and their guardians manage generalised anxiety.
An inclusive class for children aged between 6-11 and their adults (adults to participate will take place to ensure parents learn helpful tools alongside children to help manage anxiety. The session will draw upon a range of modalities including principles from mindfulness, clinical hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behaviours therapy. Designed to give you and your child a mini toolkit to take away and practice.
Adults, please do bring a pen and notebook, a mat and a cushion and a blanket to promote comfort during relaxation activities. Children are asked to bring along an item considered as soothing to them.
These sessions are accessible for parents and children aged 6-9 years of age and is held in a room accessible for people with mobility challenges. However, places are limited to a total of 20 participants including children of attendees so be sure to register your interest soon!
These sessions are delivered by our very own Christina Barbian an experienced low intensity psychological intervention NHS practitioner trained within the delivery of guided self help techniques including Li-CBT, NLP, Motivational interviewing, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness. Christina proudly takes anon-pathologizing approach to mental health.
