About this Event
This symposium will center on practical skill-building, emphasizing how participants can enhance their work across disciplines, including improvements to screening, assessment, intake processes, and policies and procedures. Participants will learn how responsiveness as an equity practice—equipping attendees with strategies to effectively support the individuals in front of them, regardless of background—alongside cultivating cultural humility. Training topics will highlight a comprehensive approach to implementation, by addressing responsiveness at the individual, institutional, and systems levels. The training will also include concrete examples and applied guidance to help participants build responsiveness in ways that strengthen their work with multiple underserved populations.
